When a family offers their firstborn child to the Cistern, once that Child has come of the age nine, they must choose whether to eat Insects and Dead Flesh, in the name of the Crow, or warm blood, in the name of the Wingleech. Should those anointed in the black waters of the Cistern break this vow, Wingleeches will surely drain the blood from their body, and Crows would feast on their innards. Ah I see *Edward has produced a cutting knife and holds it against his left wrist* Do you require any of either? No, it is not necessary. I have simply forgotten that places like these... do not hold blood slaves. it is strange, alien here. I will find a meal before sundown, do not worry.

*There is a loud thump on the door, and the sound of somebody cursing can be heard behind it. The door opens, and an Asian teenager around the age of 16 walks in, clutching his head. His robe is made of red velvet with a yellow velvet hood*
Sorry I'm late! The squirrels here kept attacking me. I don't really know why. My name is Caigo, and I represent the Hathians! Now, to be honest, I have no idea what "Road pilgrimage" is. Would anyone be able to explain?

*Finally, the representative of 'The Disciples of Serenity' deigns it necessary to speak. They are a slender, frail looking individual, rather feminine, but it is not immediately possible to distinguish their sex. They wear flowing, silvery robes, and a simple, glowing rune-enscribed mask, with a similar appearance to a 'Tragedy' drama mask. They stand unaturally still, staring into space unless speaking with someone. Their voice is dull and measured, and has minimal fluctuations in pitch, tone, and speed.*
I do not see the point in prolonging this. we were told that this was an urgent matter.
to avoid insult, however, my name is Gwendolen. that is all that is necessary to say. and please refrain from such frivolous and immoral expressions, Nikoliss of the Container.

Following the Hathian comes a Monk from the north. Her eyes are unseeing, and as she walks into the room, she makes a couple clicks and takes a deep sniff. Her pale, celery colored skin is very prominent, as he does not wear much clothing besides a white-colored loincloth and chest covering. Her upper arms are thick and muscular, with two humeri connecting to the same long forearm and elbow. She has smaller, more delicate, almost childlike arms with shoulders nestled in between the twin scapula. I am Wanderer Samantha. No need to re-introduce yourselves, I heard all of your voices while walking over here. How many more representatives are we expecting?

*Enter a hooded disciple of the Larva Doctus, clutching a stack of yellowed papers and wearing what appears to be a bird mask chiseled from some dark stone.*
Larva doctus... Qui a tempore quo non extat... Tatum carmen inane...
*The disciple suddenly glances around the room.*
Oh. I'm late again, aren't I? Very well, I suppose we're making introductions. I am the acolyte Chauncain DeVereaux. I trust there is a purpose for this gathering?

*An elderly(around 57-58) bearded man wearing what appears to be a simple masquerade mask walks in. he wears light armor that is very easily removed, and a light robe. His armor has a blue pentagram on it, and his weaponry consists of a dagger eighteen inches long* Ah, has this old disciple of Lord Traz arrived late?

'late' is proving to be a meaningless word within the context of this gathering. the punctuality of most members is quite unsatisfactory. reports shall be made.

Merely one to whom the truth has been revealed.

and we know nothing of them. presumably some small false-religion. heretical.

I am but a preacher, now. And the false doctor deserves death, nothing more, nothing less.
