Chapter 8: Pelan woke me up today telling me that she had an idea. She asked if I felt pain when crushed, and I told her about how it only hurts if a modest amount of pressure is applied. She then pushed me through the bottom of the door in our cell. When I got through to the other side, there were two of the followers (I'll call them that because of the way they were talking about a god) already coming towards me. One hit me with a crude stone club it had, and I pulled it's mask off. It had no face underneath, just smooth skin. This wasn't really that strange to me for whatever reason. I noticed that the one without it's mask was stumbling around, and I pulled off the other one's mask theorizing that they work as eyes for the creatures. Sure enoough it began stumbling around like it was blind. I unlocked the cell door and me and Pelan began running through the tower. Pelan had to carry me since I wasn't able to keep up with her any more, but now I could concetrate on pulling off the masks of any follower that saw us. It was actually really exciting! We soon came up to the entrance to a large cavern. It was completley out of place, a huge entrance to a dark cave in the middle of the wall in a concrete building. I was scared about going in, but Pelan pointed out a sign that pointed into the cavern. It had two arrows pointing toward the cavern, one saying "Kevin's charging station" and another saying "Object sapping area". I still didn't really want to go in, but Pelan insisted. We walked through the cave for a while, and the entire time we did the cave was always dimly iluminated. We talked for a while, and eventually came into a large place in the cave. On the far end of the room, there were two metal doors. A bunch of cables and tubes were running from the door to a pool of water in the middle of the room. Before we even got a chance to wonder what the tubes did, the water began to float. A bunch of random features appeared on the water, all of them two dimensional. The fifteen or so eyes immediatly began staring at us. It began saying things, but I couldn't really tell what most of the mouths were talking about. What I deffinetly could hear was the giant mouth it had in the middle of it. The Mouth shouted "WHO HASTHEBIG TURKEYCHAGERWHENTHE BALLISTIC MINE IS KYEEEVIN". I was about to try to reply when the ball of water started breaking stalactites off of the cave's roof and throwing them at us! I was able to grab the one that he threw at me, and Pelan jumped out of the way of the one he had thrown at her. The orb (Who I assume was Kevin) became infuriated. And elated. And confused. A bunch of floating hand appeared and started to scratch at us. I couldn't really feel it, but I looked over to Pelan and saw her lying on the ground... He eye was bleeding and her arm was at an odd angle... I don't know what came over me. I started hitting Kevin with the stalactite... I only stopped when he started screaming. He shouted "THE keV isS HURT iN PAiN WWHAT IS IT You DONE? I oNLy WNATeD TO HEILpinG!" He got away from me as soon as he could. And for once, I didn't care. All that I wanted to do at that moment was to see if Pelan was ok. She was laying there, on the ground, and hadn't moved at all. I noticed that she was still breathing, but she had lost a lot of blood. I stopped the bleeding with some fabric from a llama shirt that I had, and I quickly went on her head to see if she was okay, and she had only passedout. I'm still not sure if anything more serious has happened, but I really hope that she'll be alright. This time has given me a chance to sort my thoughts. I... I kind of know what feeling I have for her. It's like when I was... When I was back with everybody else... But this is different. Stronger. I don't know if it's because I can't really think as clearly as I could before... But I need to tell her how I feel. I'll do it tomorrow. I need some sleep now. |

I'm writing this as quickly as I can, so please excuse if some things aren't as detailed as they could be. It's hard to think. Palen... No... Pelan. Pelan woke up while I was checking her wounds this morning. I had made her a cast for her broken arm last night. We started walking to the door... I... was struggling to stay afloat. I fell, and had to use the HD to keep myself moving. We got the next room. There were things in glass cases all over the walls. Thing liike me. Living objects. They explained they were taking energy from them and giving it to a puddle... Kevin? They said they were taking just enough to not kill the objects... We kept walking... I don't remember for how long. I do remember... I told Pelan something. How I felt. I don't know exactly what shr said anymore... I just remember feeling empty. My eyes hurt. We kept...Walking... And then we found her. My sister. I was... I was almost happy. She said she didn't recognize me. She said she had never met me. I... Knew it was her. The voices said so... Pelan found a computer. She was able to free them... I begged my sister not to go. I held on to her. She hit me off... She said that I was an idiot. Insane. I hope she is not right. I know what I am going to do... I will send it to you. Please know that I left... because I didn't want you to be here... To see me go. The light hurts. |
