Interesting. Well, that didn't work at all.I release the HD, letting it turn back to its neutral form. I turn to see which members of our group survived, and who needs rescuing. *Louis is just sort of wandering aroud, with no idea what to do* Hmm? One of my Jorogumos...you're different...your body is twisted, and your mind-
Ah! Louissss...oh, another insects falls into the web! Delicioussss... You are mine now, understand? I claim you. And you will come into my embrace, willingly.
*Louis feels a compulsion, like before but magnified many times...he feels the need to respect and obey Orochi, and to...love them.*

I point to Louis. Shrigul, do you think that rescuing Louis is possible without great risk to ourselves? Higher powers at play, we should cut our losses and escape with the non-corrupted

*For a while now, just above the Autarchs, there seems to be a being sitting in a steel folding chair. On the back of the chair, there seems to be a message in some strange language. 'DIS GON B GUD' reads the massage. I'm sure it's all very mysterious. The figure itself seems to be sitting back and thoroughly enjoying the show. it wears an eye-stabbingly bright yellow cloak which seems to obscure it's face in shadows, despite what the lighting might normally allow to be visible. from the shadows, one can see nine strobing eyelights arranged in a circle. it seems to be muttering to itself* Huh. I knew The Wedding was going to be interesting, but this is quite different than what I expected. Over twenty five pages so far! So much pain! I do hope at least some will survive.*the chair drifts downwards, in between the Autarchs* What do you guys think? I'm putting my money on the big chain guy. Maybe the blue one? Well, they're fucked if they actually try and hurt Little Sister!
I couldn't even care less. I'm sure they'll get a Neutralizer in their back, sometime in the future.
Hey, you know lots of things, I can assume. is there a chicken subsid?
The Gun is of no consequence to us, but if one of them intervenes... they will fail.

I don't think I can make a difference. And I am carrying precious cargo. I drop a small, grey rock on the ground, then turn to the portal and exit through it.

And a chicken subsid? Well. I guess Garuda could count. Two legs. Covered in feathers. Maybe Yama too? Though she's more of an owl...
*a beeping noise can be heard and the Boatman looks at his wrist, which has no watch on it*
Aah, dang. My time is up, it seems. Nobody invoked me and I can't just sit around for a full page or more. Things to do, people to see, strings to pull. You know how it is.*The Boatman pulls a golden coin out of one of his pockets and flicks it casually toward the battle field, where it lands within view of most of the group. The Boatman is nowhere to be seen*

*'Liz drops down and picks up the token.* *The token seems to be made of gold, but a different kind of gold. It's unlike any material Liz can possibly think of, yet it's surprisingly mundane. On one side is the image of a hawk carrying a baby, and on the other side is the image of a skull wearing a Corinthian helmet impaled though the eye with an arrow. One can sense that when it's not needed, the coin will disappear and stay with whomever picked it up or took it. One get the feeling that it can be spent on something, but only once*

I am clean. I also took care to investigate corrupted bodies. Apparently they cannot be cleansed of their corruption physically. I would suggest that mind-copies be made so that if any of us fall under corruption, we can be restored with expediency. Clones may be useful as well. I know that Weaver, Louis, and Dr. Curious have been taken.

I know that Weaver, Louis, and Dr. Curious have been taken. WE MAKE MIND-COPIES OF OURSELVES AS A MATTER OF COURSE. WEAVER, IN HER GREAT WISDOM, ENTRUSTED US WITH A COPY OF HERSELF BEFORE THE WEDDING BEGAN. IT IS NOW IN AN UNKNOWN LOCATION, BUT PRESUMED SAFE.I wouldn't lie about something like that. It would be immorel. *Cordyceps slam head against nearest surface in response to pun.*
