Planning for the Civilization thread I'm making. Post your factions, ideas for random events, and everything else here.
Possible Random Events:
Ancient Evil Awakens (rare) Earthquake (Uncommon) Plague (Uncommon) Revolt (rare) Izanami Appears Early (REALLY Rare) Ancient Item Discovered (Uncommon) Smallfolk Are Upset (Common, becomes Especially Common if you neglect their complaints.) Local Tribes Join Together (Uncommon, more likely depending on the area)

I'll be setting up a program to RNG this stuff. I'll need someone to set up probabilities for each of these things happening per turn. I might also want more RNG Events. I'm going to separate it into sections first. Right now I'm going to be doing random global events, which include: Earthquakes (we might want fault lines) Tornadoes Hurricanes (coastal) (needs some way of determining duration) Drought (needs duration and severity rng) Flood Volcanic Eruptions (only at specific locations) Ancient Being Awakens ( Randomly generated powerful beast) Relic Discovered (randomly generated item that grants civilization or unit buffs) Blizzard

Maps: Key: I've already called my location. Find a place that you want to settle and nab it. It's that little cove in the middle upper left, in the jungle, south of some mountains and east of the mudflats.
I've changed my mind. I'm going to settle on the reef.

Are we talking cool mutants fallout or everybody dies fallout Both! I thought you would say that. I get the fallout biome between the grasslands and the forested hills.

Hey, Petri: how is combat going to work? Considering it will be army based, it will be luck, slightly modified by the size of armies. Random events for combat will be present, if a hero or even yourself is present in the battle.

I call the mountains in the middle island. Plus, all the info on all our groups is on Xwards' thread.

I call the mountains in the middle island. Plus, all the info on all our groups is on Xwards' thread. This isn't actually based on the patron races we made. Each Grey December character will be leading their own civilization, and units are not restricted to humans. I'd suggest planning your side out yourself.

Never mind, I would like the mountains to the north, below the izanami forest.

The hexes have been determined as 50 miles in radius, and a turn has been determined as ten days. An average human can walk 200 miles in a turn, or across two hexes.
