The sloth covers its back with dirt. The dirt helps block out the cold. The Warin looks inside a tent Inside is a sleeping human. Looks pretty cozy. *I absorb the wolf and parasite* *My roots get longer* (Btw I should be getting some random information/memories from the absorbees) From Joel, you aquire knowledge of the area, including where the town is and several local tourist attractions. From the wolf, there' not much information to be had. You do learn various howl, which may be useful for attracting more wolves, though. From the Parasite, you get a glimpse into a different world. It's under water... or some sort of liquid. There's something... Something large. Other parasites swarm around it. It seems to be bashing it's head into something... That's all you get before the memory fades. *Davar lowers his nose to the tracks, sniffs, then begins tracking the herd.* The hoofprints go into a clearing, but the suddenly vanish... In the clearing is a small hill. There is a single young doe standing at the very top of the hill. It's holding it's up as if wounded. It's been standing there completely still for an unusually long time... Enough that is has a good covering of snow on it. Lizzie is hungry after he last encounter and so clambers the fence and heads directly to the tasty smell by climbing into and down the chimney The smoke in Lizzie's face is irritating, but eventually, the chimney leads to a sort of grill placed over the fireplace. On this grill various cuts of fresh meat are cooking. Before you can make a move, however, a pan with eggs comes into view. It seems there's somebody watching over the cooking. Fascinating! Come, Mister Finch, exploration and possible laboratories await!*Abokist heads toward the Aslylum, with a skip in his step. The skips are abnormally wide due to his biology.* You find yourself at the Asylum's front door. It's the easiest way in without climbing anything. It's locked, but a swift tug is all it takes to loosen the lock right off the old wooden doors. You find yourself in a lobby, which leads to a hallway with doors on each side. At the end of the hall is a splintered door leading to an office of some sort. You can hear something moving around somewhere, but it's hard to pinpoint just where... I use the rock to bash Bill's leg in order to make it look like he tripped and hurt his leg in a minor way. Then I place the rock back over the centipede. I start to limp back in the direction the humans came from. The centipede thanks you. Probably. As you make your way across the deadlands, there's an ominous booming noise in the distance. Closer, there's a high-pitched whining noise approaching from your right. The fog seems extraordinarily thick... *I continue to grow*

Abokist readies his brim into the shape of katar, and prepares investigation, relying on the fact he makes literally no sound while moving. he makes sure Mister Finch stays safely outside the Asylum, preferably up in a tree. If a creature of any kind comes, Finch should move.

*I drag the wolf underground and into my mass* *I leave the venison* (tree will be fully grown by the end of tomorrow) There's something... unusual about the wolf. it seems to have some sort of anomalous parasite. Perhaps that's why it was banished from it's pack? *There are too many strong vibrations here. The Grabber decides to retreat a less populated area. They move in the opposite direction from the town, back to the asylum.* Many of the Asylum's windows are shattered. should you enter the office you exited from, you'd find the door splintered apart. Many other creatures have obviously left, but there still might be some inside... The sloth continues sleeping. The day gets brighter and the snow begins to intensify. Abokist begins moving toward the Asylum, making sure Mister Finch is following. The asylum is visible in the distance. The chain link fence is broken and there are tracks of various different creatures all around. Mister Finch obediently follows. I search around nearby for some kind of rock. You find some kind of rock. Rock acquired. More specifically, it's a simple grey rock about the size of Bill's fist. The bottom is moist from it lying in the leaf litter. Beneath it is a single centipede. It stares at you, most likely cursing you with a thousand hells in some ancient centipede tongue for the crime of stealing it's house. Or maybe not. It's just a centipede, afterall. After a short nap, Davar exits his cave and searches for food.* It's lighter now, and you can make out a few tracks in the snow. They look like a heard of deer. Lizzie thinks about heading south and then about heading west without realising it she accidentally tried to walk in both directions at once casing her legs to pop off after waiting for them to grow back she decides to go for the tastiest smell and go west That is adorable. Heading west, you see a large building with a wooden exterior, giving the impression that it is made of logs The 'wood' on the outside is actually just plaster. It has a chain link fence running the length of the property. There's a chimney billowing smoke. The smoke carries the scent of cooking venison. Further examination of the property would reveal a small parking lot with a single vehicle there. Warin heads towards the light As the morning gets brighter, you lose sight of the light and instead see the smoke. It's a campsite with three tents. The fire is dying out, helped by the snow. *The Grabber emerges from the ground, and scuttles in through the window, keeping to the ceiling of the office, and spread antennae along the surfaces, searching for vibrations*

I remove and load the gun, and face towards the whining noise. I keep the limp in an attempt to make me look weaker than I actually am. The whining gets closer and closer, before suddenly stopping. There's an eerie silence... Suddenly, the fog clears and this emerges onto the scene. It's 'arms' lengthen and shorten, revealing and hiding eyes. It stares at you. The sloth continues sleeping. For now there's nothing of interest happening. There's a loud booming off in the distance, followed by a sudden silence. otherwise things are mostly calm in your neck of the woods. Abokist readies his brim into the shape of katar, and prepares investigation, relying on the fact he makes literally no sound while moving. he makes sure Mister Finch stays safely outside the Asylum, preferably up in a tree. If a creature of any kind comes, Finch should move. he goes along the left path. Beyond the left door is another hallway, with doors all along the left side. It seems the asylum was more like a prison than any sort of competent medical facility, All the doors are closed. they are thick and metal with little slats that can open to allow one to view the occupant inside. The end of the hall is a dead end, but the very last cell door is open... you can hear moving coming from the lobby you just left *The Grabber emerges from the ground, and scuttles in through the window, keeping to the ceiling of the office, and spread antennae along the surfaces, searching for vibrations* You can sense many living things inside the building. many are no longer in the lab in the basement, however. should you take a look through the shattered doorframe, you'd be able to see all the way to the end of the hall and into the lobby, where there's something clumsily lumbering about. Of note is one individual that seems to make no noise when they move... Warin begins digging into the person's abdomin. You better believe that it's painful. They jolt awake and scream, alerting the others in their tents. Upon seeing the condition of their comrade, one camper runs off to get help, and the other runs to his tent to fetch a gun. Your host is struggling and you don't have much time before the one searching for a weapon returns. lizzie waits for a few moments before without looking, lowering her tongue down onto the largest piece of meat she can find and pulls it into her mouth and bites down as hard as possible It's got some sort of herb marinade on it. Pretty tasty if your into that sort of thing. You hear a human voice. "the hell?" You hear the human quickly walk away, but he'll likely be be back very shortly.

All sounds in the forest stop and everything seems to go still. The area begins to fill with a thick black mist that blocks out the sun. There's something massive moving about in the distance... and very quickly. There's a beam of light visible looking through the mist. Like a large flashlight. It's to the north, slowly moving to the west... There is a buzzing sound as many of those tiny parasites like what the wolf had swarm the reeking cooler. The light slowly heads toward this commotion. The sloth sleeps some more. An owl lands on a nearby tree and stares. Warin hides behind some vital organs "HOLY CRAP" says the human you have crawled into. The other human bursts in with a loaded rifle "Moe! you alright?! Where is that thing?!" "It just dug inside me! Like some kind of worm!" "Aw hell aw hell aw hell aw hell!" The two are panicking. It's best to take some course of action before they get themselves together. *Davar approaches the deer, not felling the need to stalk it, assuming it froze* The deer doesn't look right... It only ever moves it's head. From left to right at regular intervals. It doesn't seem to be breathing... Very suddenly, the hill surges upwards! Davar is sent flying along with a ton of snow. The cloud of frost clears just in time you you to see something large shake off the rest of the snow covering it. It's huge! It has a massive mouth and two thick limbs, along with a large powerful tail. The deer on it's head seems to be attached like some kind of lure... { image for reference} It lets loose a loud bellow and sluggishly paces towards you... *Clumsy could mean injured. Injured foes are no struggle, and that path is closer to that curious anomaly. Perhaps another predator...? Moving cautiously, the Grabber scuttles along the ceiling and just into the lobby.* Not injured. Just big. An unfortunately, It can see directly upwards. { Image for reference} It's huge and roughly human-shaped, but with no visible head. It has a large mouth fixed in a huge grin on it's torso, with two tiny eyes on it's front and two large eyes set facing upwards on it's shoulders. It's abdomen is lined with gill-like slats and it's hands are just large fleshy pincers lined with teeth. It spots you and without a sound, attempts to grab at you with one of it's claws. Fortunately, it's fairly slow. Abokist peeks out into the lobby in a spooky way. He shouldn't be noticed right away, as he both creates no noise and no vibrations, due to noise being caused by vibrations in the air. The creature does not notice you. it's focused on trying to grab Grabber. Right now it's back is turned to you. Hearing the big thing leave Lizzie quickly adds all of the cooking food to her fat stores and goes to investigate the smoky food hole by climbing down and out of the chimney You manage to clear the grill and not touch the fire, but you can feel it's heat from where you stand. You are in a kitchen. The floor is stone tile and the walls are lined with wood paneling. There are many cabinets and tables and nooks and crannies that could probably fit you, should you need to hide. Good thing, too, because you can hear the human quickly returning. I start to back away from the creature, keeping my eyes trained on it. The thing continues to stare at you, silently floating closer and closer. Bill can taste something metallic. Looking at the two eyes on stalks causes pain.
