*Connie looked at the remaining chapters* Connie: This is starting to get depressing. Today I found somebody. I was in some zonewith a bunch of green hills. I had arrived at some weird gas station when just as I was putting up "Help wanted" signs, somebody said she wanted the job. She was a normal greyzoner. She only looked eight, and I was just about to ask why she was out alone when I realized I'm pretty much the equivelant of an eight year old too. she was actually kind of cuteAnyways, she said that her name was Pelan, and she was actually a pretty good mechanic. She said that she would be able to fix it by tommorow. I offered her extra money to help along the way, but she didn't accept it. She said that she had always wanted to explore the zone cluster, and that she would come with me.

I'm trying to get to sleep. I've never actually needed to sleep before, but I think it might delay my death. I am haunted by my past failures. My entire life has been spent messing things up. I realize that my always trying to stay positive might have stopped working a long time ago. I miss my family. At least I have Pelan now.Connie: Well, I hope he ends up well. I think I have a diary somewhere. Maybe it would cheer him up to hear some excerpts. |
